1-day workshop in Helsinki – € 90
After covering the basic elements of photography and camera operation, the workshop will focus on how to capture authentic family, every-day moments in order to tell the story of your family with meaningful and joyful images.
We will show you a unique approach to family photography and share with you the techniques for creating the relationships and environment that allow your subjects to relax so you can shoot meaningful and real moments as they unfold: the expressions, the hugs, the kisses, the tears and the fun!
By the end of this class, you’ll gain the confidence and skills you need to turn spontaneous moments into unforgettable photos and you will also have new ways to approach composition and editing so your final product is beautiful and true to reality.

About the Instructor
Barbara Balzaretti was born and raised in Milan, Italy. After her university degree she moved to New York for a master in photojournalism and worked there as a freelance photographer and photo editor for some of the top New York City photo agencies including Tom Keller & Associates and Corbis. She has also worked in advertising and film as producer in the US and Europe. She now lives in Finland and is the founder and director of the International Photo Center.
